Fix Your Walk Annual Scholarship
The Fix Your Walk Annual Scholarship is for young people in colleges and those that are about to join. It is for individuals that like to help others manage common foot pains and injuries. Whether you help people choose the right running shoes or manage foot pain as well as plantar fasciitis like we do or help them with tips and tricks on how to avoid injuries when walking or running this opportunity is for you.
Scholarship Program Topic
The $1000 scholarship that we offer every other year always goes to a student who is passionate about helping others that like walking or running. Also, it is for young people that like to keep an active life through running or walking regularly. And so to apply for our scholarship, we would like you to write a piece that will answer the three questions below.
- Why Do You Love Running?
- How Do You Avoid Injuries From Running?
- What Do You Do To Improve Running Efficiency?
Although we require that you answer these questions, we do not restrict your writing to the three. And so you are free to include any other information that you feel will add value to your piece but make sure it is related to running.
Our scholarship is open to any student that can demonstrate passion or knowledge on running and related topics such as running pain management and preventing injuries.
Whether you are already pursuing your course or are just about to start college, you are free to apply for the scholarship. Also, age does not matter because we also accept applications from those that are below the legal age.
However, if you are below 18, we will require you to get some consent from your parents/guardians before sending your application.
How To Apply
Here is a simple step by step breakdown for the mode of application to make things easier for you.
Step 1: Write The Article
The first step and probably also the most important step is to write the piece that answers the three questions we mentioned earlier. As you are writing, try to make it as detailed as possible and enjoyable to read. Also, make sure that you focus on providing information that will be helpful to others.
Step 2: Edit And Proofread
After writing you should spare time to edit and proofread the piece thoroughly. Make sure that it reads well and check for spelling and grammatical mistakes.
Step 3: Add Personal Information
Once you write and edit the next thing is to add your contact information. Just include the basics such as name, address, area of study and the name of your college/university.
Step 4: Forward to Our Email
The fourth and final step is to go through everything and make sure it is in order and then finish by forwarding the piece to email firstname.lastname@example.org
Scholarship Application Deadline
The application deadline for our annual external scholarship is March 01 every year. However, it is always a good idea to apply the earliest possible, and we also encourage it. And if your piece is the best you will know by March 15 when we announce the winner.
Also, it is important to note that we do not send the cash to the winning student but we will instead forward it to the Financial Aid Office of his/her school. It is because of this reason that we will require you to include your school name.
